17:30 – 19:00 CET

This event is part of the Learning Planet Festival programme.

Organised by The United Nations Youth Office, in partnership with the Learning Planet Institute, we invite you to this hybrid, interactive dialogue focused on the UN Youth Compass, the UN’s flagship initiative to advance meaningful, inclusive and effective youth engagement across policymaking and decision-making processes.

Centred on youth voices and lived realities, this session will bring together youth leaders, institutions, civil society, UN Entities and partners to explore how the UN Youth Compass can help move youth participation from commitments to practice, bridging the gap between institutional mechanisms and the expectations of a new generation.

Speakers:

  • Nolita Mvunelo, Principal at The Club of Rome
  • Jade Bowler, Education Advocate, Content Creator and Author at Unjaded Jade
  • Jacob Blasius, Executive Director at Global Student Forum
  • François Taddei, Founder & President at Learning Planet Institute
  • Felipe Paullier Olivera, Assistant Secretary-General at the United Nations Youth Office

This event takes place in continuity with UNESCO’s International Day of Education celebrations, held earlier the same day at UNESCO Headquarters, and forms part of the Learning Planet Festival, co-led by UNESCO and the Learning Planet Institute, mobilising hundreds of events worldwide to celebrate the International Day of Education.

The event is funded by the European Union.
