The passion of young people

6 years ago, before the world closed its doors, I was traveling across cities—determined to write about the long-standing plight of our local rice farmers. I came into this protest rally to hear stories firsthand from those who till the land and grow one of our nation’s staples.
It was a bittersweet surprise that my old camera allowed me to capture this scene of young people courageously standing, awakened by unjust realities; this scene of a generation whose hearts long to wake up one day, without having to be ready for another protest rally.
I pray that this photo still shouts that nothing is too dire and bleak for such a generation who is never defeated by the present realities, but rather, are fighting,
from a vantage point of victory.
